Research expertise

Melanie is a current Trans Global Health PhD candidate, an Erasmus-Mundus PhD fellowship that aims to foster transdisciplinary research approaches to complex global health problems. Melanie’s research is focused on the micro-epidemiology of malaria in pre-elimination settings in South East Asia, incorporating anthropological and epidemiological research in innovative mixed-methods study designs. Melanie has previously worked as an epidemiologist investigating climate change impacts on infectious diseases and also in perinatal health research.
